A Petoskey stone is a fossilized coral that's the state stone of Michigan. It's known for its unique honeycomb pattern, which is actually the skeleton of the coral.
These Petoskey Stone "slabs" are large specimens, approximately 3" wide; carefully sliced in half, and polished to show up and preserve their unique coral pattern.
The opposite side of the stone, remains unpolished, so you can experience both appearances.
Each slab comes in a keepsake box with cotton insert.
